Members are the mission.

Good policy strengthens local financial choices.
Decisions made by lawmakers and regulators affect how credit unions serve members, fight fraud, adopt new technology and return value to their communities. Arize adds its voice to a nationwide movement focused on keeping cooperative financial services strong and accessible.

Built for members—not shareholders.
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives. That structure allows earnings to support members and strengthen the institution instead of being paid to outside stockholders.
Protecting a cooperative model.
Federal credit unions do not pay federal corporate income tax on profits because they are member-owned, not-for-profit cooperatives. Credit unions do pay other applicable local, state and federal taxes and fees, including payroll and property taxes.
Preserving this status helps credit unions continue returning value to members and supporting local economies. Advocacy ensures policymakers understand what makes credit unions different and why that difference matters.
